Mr. Rinzin Gyeltshen, took over the responsibility of Joint Managing Director, PHPA-II on May 15, 2025. The officer is on secondment from Druk Green Power Corporation Ltd., a Royal Government of Bhutan Undertaking. His wide experience of more than 2 decades in hydropower spans across the field of Operation, Maintenance and Construction of large Hydro Projects. He is a mechanical engineering graduate of June 2000 batch from REC, Surat, Gujarat (India) and obtained MBA from National University of Singapore in November 2009.

Prior to the assumption of charge of Joint Managing Director in PHPA-II, Mr. Rinzin Gyeltshen served in the capacity of Engineer in-charge, E&M heading the construction hydroelectric project since December, 2015. During his initial professional career, he has also served in 1020 MW Tala Hydroelectric Project in the capacity of Maintenance Head.
